Pretty Good Privacy (PGP)

This workshop will be held as a Zoom video conference - details will be posted in Weekly Update.

Pretty Good Privacy is an encryption program that provides cryptographic privacy and authentication for data communication. 

• Demonstrate encrypting a file with PGP
• Discuss the PGP fingerprint - which a shorter version of a public key & what the fingerprint is used for
• Demonstrate sending an encrypted email
• Legal ramification of not revealing your passphrase to governmental authorities 

Finally, we intend to be responsive to our attendees so future subjects will evolve as our attendees make their interests known.
